Over the years, I’ve been in so many bands I’ve lost count. Everything from Beatles and Rolling Stones covers in my teens to Jug Bands and Contradance Bands.
During that time, I’ve composed a number of tunes. I’ve recorded some of them on my 1st and only CD, Kicking Horse Chestnuts, posted some on the web at Free-scores.com, but never got them all together in one place. That’s about to change.

Here in this section, you’ll find dots for all the tunes I’ve written that I can remember and/or get my hands on. I’ll also try to find links to videos and recordings of them where they exist. For instance, I just had a tune, The Klezmer Kerry Polka #1, published in volume 3 of The Portland Collection.
If you like any of my tunes and choose to play them out in your band, please, please let me know. I’ll be so flattered and honored I’ll do all kinds of “likes” for you on your page and tell people you’re the best band ever! Cascade Crossing plays a couple of my tunes, as does my buddy, Paul Gitlitz, another fine tunester.
And last but not least, a small but earnest request: if you record one of my tunes, please do contact me to discuss a royalty fee. Don’t worry, I don’t want a lot of $$. Just a small acknowledgement that it’s my tune you recorded.
Ok, this is a work in progress so I better get started and get some sheet music up here. It’s going to take me a while……. so please be patient.
